Rudraksha botanically known as Elaeocarpus ganitrus from the Elaeocarpaceae family is a large evergreen broad-leaved tree. The plant holds tremendous importance in the Hindu religion. The word “Rudraksha” has its origin in the Sanskrit language, it is made from two words, Rudra (Lord Shiva) and aksha (eye). This means that the auspicious beads are considered the third eye of Lord Shiva. It is an essential bead that people use during prayers. It is said that Lord Shiva wears a garland of Rudraksha. This garland/mala is often made from 108 rudraksha beads and used by many Hindus during prayers. The plant we are sending is of the Panchmukhi Rudraksha variety.

GROWING TIPS - The Himalayan states have the best climate to grow this tree, as the temperatures there remain moderate even during summers. In the places where the temperature is higher than 35°C, it is best to keep them under shade. It starts bearing fruit in 5 to 6 years.

  • The temperature of the area where the Rudraksha sapling is supposed to be planted must remain below 35°C.
  • If growing in the region above 35°C should be planted under shade or indirect sunlight area.
  • It is recommended to grow the plant in a big pot, directly in the soil is always good.
  • Soil should be well-drained, fertile, and slightly acidic in nature for growing Rudraksha.
