Very low chill requirement: approximately 100–300 chill hours.
Suitable for warm or mild-winter climates — which makes it attractive for regions where traditional apple varieties struggle.
Growth habit: moderate vigor; some versions are semi-dwarf.
Mature height: about 10–20 ft, depending on rootstock.
Pollination: While partially self-fertile, yields improve when paired with another early apple variety, especially Anna apple
Harvest time: Very early — typically late June to early July in some climates.
Shelf life: Because it’s an early-season apple, it doesn’t store very long.

Sunlight: Needs full sun (at least ~6–8 hours of direct light) for optimal fruit quality.
Soil: Prefers well-drained soil. Avoid waterlogging.
Planting: Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, backfill well, and mulch (but don’t let mulch touch the trunk).
Pruning: Best done when the tree is dormant (some growers prune in December).
Pollination strategy: Though it can self-pollinate to an extent, planting another compatible cultivar (like Anna) nearby is strongly recommended.
